Bia Beo means Food of Life. It’s not just a name – it’s the belief that underpins everything I do. That the body, when given the right nourishment, the right herbs, and the right support, knows how to heal.
I’ve spent over a decade working with women navigating some of the most frustrating and isolating health experiences – chronic bloating that no doctor could explain, skin that flared no matter what they tried, hormonal chaos that left them exhausted and disconnected from themselves. And again and again, I’ve seen what becomes possible when someone is truly listened to, and when the plan is built entirely around them.
What I bring to every consultation is a rare combination: the clinical rigour of a BSc-qualified nutritional therapist, the plant wisdom of a trained and registered herbalist, and something that can’t be taught in a classroom – a genuine intuition for what a person needs, and the ability to truly hear what they’re not always able to say.
I don’t do cookie-cutter. I don’t do overwhelm. And I never make you feel like your body is the problem.
The body is built to heal when supported with the right food, herbs, and lifestyle. I start there – always.
No two women are the same. Your plan is built entirely around you – your symptoms, your history, your life.
My goal is never dependency. I want you to leave every session with a deeper understanding of your own body and the confidence to trust it.
Whether it’s your menstrual cycle, your digestive rhythm, or the seasons – healing happens when we work with nature, not against it.
I came to natural health through a combination of curiosity and necessity. In 2008, I was working in photography – creative, independent, always drawn to beauty and meaning. But something kept pulling me toward healing. A transformative detox seminar and the experience of caring for a family member set a new course, and in 2010 I began studying holistic nutrition.
By 2014, Bia Beo was born in Dublin – and it became clear very quickly that gut health was at the centre of almost every issue my clients were experiencing. That fascination led me deeper, into the world of plant medicine. I trained with Nikki Darrell at the Plant Medicine School in Cork, becoming a registered herbalist and learning to work with plants the way our ancestors did – with precision, respect, and deep knowledge of their action on the body.
I’ve since completed a BSc (Hons) in Nutritional Therapy, developed a specialist clinical interest in the gut–skin–hormone axis, and built programmes that bridge traditional herbal wisdom with modern nutritional science.
I’ve also become a mother – which has brought an entirely new dimension to my understanding of what women’s bodies carry, and what genuine, practical support actually looks like.
IBS, bloating, reflux, food sensitivities
Acne, eczema, rosacea, post-pill flares
PMS, PCOS, painful or irregular cycles, post-pill recovery, fertility, perimenopause
Restoring calm and resilience
Recovery, nourishment, and breastfeeding wellness support.
A comprehensive approach that addresses your whole person, not just symptoms
I combine these two disciplines in a way that is deeply individualised – drawing on both modern nutritional science and the long tradition of plant medicine to create something genuinely whole.
Where relevant, I support clients through functional testing – stool analysis, hormone panels, food intolerance testing – and interpret results in the full context of your health picture.
I personally formulate and craft each client’s herbal remedy – liquid tonics, loose-leaf tea blends, balancing creams, and nervous system support drops – made specifically for your body and your symptoms. These are not supplements ordered from a catalogue. They are living medicine, made with care.
Healing takes time and consistency. My programmes are designed to give you the sustained, personalised support that creates real and lasting change.
Remedies are included in: my 6-Week Detox and 12-Week Transformation Programmes, and available as an add-on in 1:1 consultations.
